On Dec. 27, 2001 the craneship William H. Donner was towed from the Marinette Fuel & Dock Co. dock to K&K Warehouse West Dock. On March 19, 2002 the forward deckhouse of the William H. Donner was removed. Finally, on March 27, 2002 the Donner was moved back to its mooring place at Marinette Fuel & Dock. The craneship is used to off-load pig iron and (sometimes) wood products from visiting foreign ships.

Marinette - unloading wood at K&K Warehouse (on Oct. 9, while leaving Menominee, she hit the Ogden Street (Menekaunee) Bridge while departing. Damages from the accident amounted to nearly $60,000.)
